Morton HQ — 21 Morton Street Industrial Development

Morton HQ is a completed collection of 14 architecturally designed industrial workspaces at 21 Morton Street, Chinderah. Built across a 1,980-square-metre site, the two-storey units range from approximately 105 to 156 square metres and combine open ground-floor work areas with office-style mezzanines, high ceilings, commercial glazing, kitchenettes and ground-floor amenities. Select units include private balconies, while the estate provides allocated parking and 3.5-metre electric industrial roller doors. SMG Electrical delivered the commercial and industrial electrical installation required to support independently operated warehouse, office and retail tenancies. The scope included central distribution and metering infrastructure, individual tenancy switchboards and submains, general power and dedicated equipment circuits, internal LED lighting to ground-floor and mezzanine areas, and complete electrical fit-off to kitchenettes, bathrooms and workspaces. Life-safety and operational services included emergency and exit lighting, smoke-detection interfaces, power and controls for electric roller doors, external and car-park lighting, and electrical infrastructure supporting site security and CCTV systems. Surface-mounted services within the industrial areas were coordinated to remain accessible, durable and practical for future tenancy changes. Final inspection, electrical testing, commissioning and project documentation completed the works, delivering reliable and maintainable infrastructure for a flexible industrial development with immediate access to the M1 and the wider Tweed–Gold Coast business corridor.
