The Nordic — 1 Ern Harley Drive Studio Warehouse Development

The Nordic is a collection of 15 Scandinavian-inspired luxury studio warehouses at 1 Ern Harley Drive, Burleigh Heads. The development redefines commercial design through a refined combination of textured precast concrete, minimalist architectural lines, natural timber finishes and generous natural light. Flexible ground-floor warehouse areas and approved mezzanine workspaces support a broad range of creative, trade, office, showroom and entrepreneurial uses, while premium bathroom amenities, air conditioning and secure basement parking provide a professional business environment. SMG Electrical delivered the comprehensive commercial electrical installation across the 15 individual tenancies, basement parking and shared areas. The scope included incoming electrical supply coordination, central distribution and metering infrastructure, individual tenancy switchboards and submains, general power, dedicated equipment circuits, and complete electrical fit-off throughout warehouse floors, mezzanine workspaces, kitchenettes and bathroom amenities. The lighting package complemented the development’s Scandinavian architecture with efficient LED warehouse and workspace lighting, architectural interior lighting, exterior façade and driveway illumination, basement car-park lighting, emergency lighting and compliant exit signage. Dedicated electrical supplies were also provided for air-conditioning systems, electric roller doors and essential building services, with power and communications infrastructure coordinated to support flexible future tenancy use. Final inspection, electrical testing, commissioning and project documentation completed a safe, reliable and maintainable installation aligned with the development’s premium commercial standard. Project completed 31 August 2024.
